Director, Creative
REMOTE OPPORTUNITY
Our client is an OTT Audio Entertainment company that provides audio series, podcasts, and audiobooks across a wide variety of genres in the US and globally. Due to US market growth a Director of Creative is needed. As a Creative Director you will own and define the creative strategies of new and existing shows, including responsibility for user acquisition and revenue growth of the shows across genres.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead a team of promo writers, coaching them on the rules of audio storytelling, and empowering them to create impactful content.
Define, develop and execute creative strategies to create powerful promos that achieve benchmark acquisition and retention metrics.
Define and own creative strategy of the shows.
Responsible for user acquisition and revenue growth of shows across genres.
Collaborate with production, marketing, and operations teams to ensure a cohesive and integrated approach to promo success.
Provide inputs on promo production with regards to music, voice over and video.
Work with cross-functional business and technical teams on initiatives such as a/b testing and data modeling, providing subject matter expertise.
Design modules and train the team to set them up for long term success.
Synthesizing market research and data analysis with the goal of creating actionable customer acquisition targets.
REQUIREMENTS:
3+ years of writing (Screenwriting and/or Copywriting) experience (YouTube content conceptualizers, investigative journalism writers, online tabloid writers, digital entertainment/magazine writers, gaming writers/conceptualizers).
2+ years of management experience leading a team of at least 10+ writers.
Manage a large creative and production team (consisting of writers, leads, sound engineers and video editors).
Ability to manage priorities and projects proactively and with limited oversight, and the right mix of organizational and communication skills to keep all stakeholders aligned.
Highly motivated individual who works comfortably and autonomously in a fast-paced and a continuous iterative environment.
Desire to thrive in a dynamic environment where creativity and data converge.
Possess the ability to translate audience desires into content gold.
Strong understanding of the US entertainment landscape, and is excited about audio storytelling, streaming/OTT services, and web fiction.
